Larger Than Usual Recent Acquisition Article – NECA AVP, Ultra-Act x SH Figuarts Ultraman, Figma Puella Magi Madoka Magica!

Doing a little different acquisition article today since we have gotten a lot of figures in the past few days, so we thought it would be nice to just pile a few different figures into this one blog. What we have here is the Figma Sayaka and Kyoko (magical girl ver.) from Puella Magi Madoka Magica, The NECA Elder Predator from Alien vs. Predator, and the Ultra-Act x S.H. Figuarts Ultraman Ace (manga ver.). The NECA Predator comes with his helmet and ceremonial spear. The Ultraman Ace has extra hands, extra arm attachments, and his blade attack. Finally the Figma figures come with extra hands and accessories seen in the show!

The NECA Predator is a pretty sweet piece from the NECA AVP line! I love the cap and his overall appearance, plus he comes with his helmet and spear seen in the film. The articulation is the same as the rest of the figures in the line (which is awesome by the way). My only real grip with him is he doesn’t have as much that comes with him when compared to the other Predators in the line. That and the cape is a little wonky but is still pretty cool to see on the figure. I’m just happy that mine is in one piece with some of the problems I’ve had recently with a couple of the Predator figures!

The Ultraman Ace figure is a pretty solid figure for what I’ve seen so far. The paint job and articulation is what I have come to expect from this line. The optional heads and his blade is pretty cool, but I have a little issue with how you have to go about it to put the accessory on. Having to disassemble the hands and wrist in order to attach it is a bit of a chore and overall takes away from the pose-ability of the figure. I have to say he is the weirdest of the Ultraman manga figures, but still pretty happy I have gotten so far.

The Figma Sayaka and Kyoko are fantastic figures! The amount of extra parts and weapons are very impressive! These figures literally come with everything you could want with these figures, and then sum. The Sayaka’s cap is the only strange thing on these figures cause it’s the first Figma that I have come across with fabric. Not saying that it’s a bad thing, just not what I am accustom too.

I hope to be getting around to reviewing at least one of these figures soon, but with the arrival of a certain X-Plus soon, it might be sooner then later. That and I have a few more magical girl figures and a Kamen Rider figures arriving in the near future. Looking forward the new arrivals and will be messing around with these figures more shortly.
